  • July 7: Talk Tuesday’s (TT) Topic: Faith in the Face of Pandemics (Interfaith Panel Discussion)
    12 – 1 p.m.
    Join the Multicultural Center and panelists as we discuss the diversity of faith. How has faith contributed to your personal journey? Specifically, how has faith sustained you during this time of Covid-19 and racial injustices? We further the conversation by intersecting faith and mental health, by posing the question, can you pray it (trauma) away? You do not want to miss this conversation! Register Here!

  • July 10: For the Culture Friday’s (FCF) with Perennial Pops for National Culinary Arts Month
    4 p.m.
    For the Culture Friday Series focuses on featuring culturally relevant artist, activist, entertainment and entrepreneurs. In recognition of National Ice Cream Month, join the Multicultural Center as we feature Perennial Pops, the minority-owned vegan ice-cream brand, who will share their entrepreneurial journey as a Black woman, mother-daughter duo, and give us the scoop their recipe for success.   • July 14: Talk Tuesday’s: Hardship & Homelessness
    12 – 1 p.m.
    Join us for a special Talk Tuesday! This talk, we’re honoring the Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy by hosting a Pre-Mandela Day Panel Discussion about Hardship & Homelessness. Nelson Mandela fought for social justice for 67 years; we are asking you to join us for 67 minutes for a conversation on how to fight poverty and promote peace, reconciliation and cultural diversity. Engage with a panel of peers and community partners on their lived experiences and together let’s pledge to commit to #ActionAgainstPoverty. Register Here!

    This interactive workshop is designed to develop, enhance, and maintain culturally understanding and supportive environments on Georgia State University’s campuses for GSM (Gender & Sexuality Minorities) individuals, as well as creating an environment for successful allyship. Register Here!

  • July 27: Music Monday’s (MM) Storytellers: Conscious Rap featuring Ryan the Humble
    6 p.m.
    Missing live music festivals? No worries, the Multicultural Center has your all access pass to our Music Monday’s Concert Series featuring local artist that perform live in front of an online audience. Interspersing acoustic performances with intimate conversations with the artists about the music and meaningful life experiences, the MC connects the community through storytelling and song.   • July 28: Talk Tuesday’s (TT) Topic: Art as Activism (Freedom of Speech X Social Responsibility Panel Discussion)

    We’re back with another Talk Tuesday! Join the Multicultural Center and our panel of artists as we discuss how art, in various forms, contributes to activism.
